It is the responsibility of a Life Coach to:
Always conduct themselves with the highest level of ethics, integrity, accountability and responsibilityTreat all people with absolute dignity and respect as free and equal individuals Respect individual and commercial confidentialityMaintain the good reputation of the coaching professionComply with both the spirit and the letter of any agreements madeMake all agreements fair and reasonable; and respect all parties to such agreementsRepresent true levels of status, title, competence and experienceClearly state the terms of any agreements including the expectations of both partiesOnly claim or imply outcomes that can be demonstrated or guaranteedObtain written permission from any person or association before releasing their names as referees or any other informationRecommend different coaches or resources when these will be more appropriate to the clients' needsGive notice of any or potential conflicts to the client and take appropriate actionShare skills and experience with fellow associates to further increase the body of knowledge, skills and competenciesRespect all copyrights, agreements, work, intellectual property, trademarks and lawsUse knowledge gained as the basis for all coaching procedures, practices and objectivesCoach minors (people who have not yet had their 18th birthday) only with the express written consent of parent or guardian as appropriateContact the relevant professional association immediately if they find themselves in any situation, which may create conflict, litigation or bad publicity
